MAP testing begins next week on Tuesday and will last through May 9. Make-up testing will be through the end of the school year. Here are some tips to help your student have a successful testing experience:
Get a good night’s sleep
Eat a healthy breakfast
Bring a reading book
Get to school on time
Think positive thoughts

Add the Missouri Math Challenge to your Summer To-Do List The Missouri Math Challenge is a way to encourage students to keep their math skills sharp over the summer. On average, students lose 2.6 months in grade-level equivalency in math skills during summer break. It’s easy for parents to sign up their children to participate. Summer School 2018 Join us for a summer of fun and learning at Summer School. Student weekly prize drawings with an end of summer school grand prize. Students will also earn $100 for “perfect attendance”, $75 for missing 1 day, & $50 for missing 2 days, (students will be considered absent when checking out for any part of the day or late arrival).
Who: Cameron R-I Students Fall 2018 4th-8th grade. (Fall 9th grade students will do high school summer school unless contacted by building principal.)
What: The first four hours are focused on Core subjects followed by afternoon enrichment subjects such as fitness class, coding class, escape the classroom problem solving and currently planning on having another rocket launch day.
Where: Cameron Veterans Middle School (Get a Cameron Dragon’s bag the first day of classes!)
When: May 30 - June 26, 7:30AM-1:30PM (Bus transportation included) (Breakfast and Lunch is served!)
