If you have not signed up for this, please contact the office ASAP. The Leader in Me is a program we are working to instill at CVMS. Here is a testimony of Mrs. Teel and how it has impacted her and her classroom. "I can see LIM working ~ I can see it with past students who are being Proactive (Habit 1) and using Think Win-Win (Habit 4). I can see it at work with my current LIM students as we read through and discuss the book. These students will get light-bulb moments and realize the positive things that they already do and/or what they need to work on within themselves. We, as a building, are using this language daily. To hear a student use the language with other students makes me smile inside and out! As we progress through The Leader in Me process here at CVMS, it is wonderful to see the students, as well as the teachers, participating and working together to be successful ~ Synergize (Habit 6)" Last Thursday evening was the Winterfest. It was AMAZING!!! The students rocked the house!! There were even students who introduced the performed pieces. That takes courage!!! Below are some pictures of our talented super-stars. On a personal note, I hope you all have a safe Winter Break. My next post will be in 2017!!

The temperatures are dropping. Please remind students as they leave home to bring (preferably wear) a coat, hat, and gloves. Additionally, changes in temperatures also bring in cold and flu season. Encouraging kids to eat healthy and practice good personal hygiene is a vital step in preventing our students from getting under the weather. The DTV crew is at it again!!! Click here to see the latest DTV video, “Fall Sports”. The Pearl Harbor Day 75th Diamond Anniversary and Veterans Assembly was a success. The day started with breakfast at 8:15 am. Also, thank you to the CVMS Boy Scouts, CHS Concert Choir Members, 7th Grade Band, 8th Grade Band, Junior Dragon Singers, DTV Crew, Sarina Anderson, Madison Hamilton, Mariah Anderson, Haylee Estenbaum, and Carlie Jones for your assistance with our remembrance day activities. Therefore, I have decided to give the weekly update a once over. I will be using this website to keep CVMS patrons informed. This page will typically be updated on a weekly basis when school is in session.
On the right, you will see The Leader in Me section. The Leader in Me section shares the weekly highlighted habit that is shared during announcements. As CVMS moves to implement this program, community involvement is a large part. If you want to get a head start on learning about this, you are encouraged to look at:
