Monday is the last day of school. CVMS students will be dismissed at 12:26 pm.
If you would like to join us for the end of the year assemblies and award presentations, see below for grade level times. Please check in at the office. The assembly will be in the CVMS gym.
Yearbooks will be passed out on the last day of school. If your student will not be at school on the last day and has ordered a yearbook, he/she may pick it up May 22-May 25 7:30 am-3 pm OR May 30-June 26 from 7 am -1:30 pm. CVMS will not be open June 27-July 29. If you need assistance during that time period, please email me and I will get back with you upon my return to the building. Thank you for your patience! Wednesday, May 9th, from 3:30-6:30 pm in the high school gym, there will be a 'physical night'. Doctors will be there to give physicals. The cost is $10. This is a great opportunity to get your physical out of the way at a low cost. You must have a physical to practice in any school sport. Also, every athlete must create a PRIVOT profile. 6th graders will be given a paper explaining this. If you are in 7th or 8th grade and you haven't done this, please stop by the office to pick up this info." Congratulations to Allie Hansen! This years BAND-A-RAMA concert featuring all middle school and high school bands will be on Thursday, May 3rd, starting at 7pm in the CHS Gym. Students will need to be dressed properly and at their designated spots at 6:30pm. The concert will be approximately 70 minutes and will be the final presentation of these ensembles for the year! Parents may park in the high school parking lot and enter in the "Activites Entrance" with overflow parking at CVMS. Questions? The 6th Grade has been hard at work decorating doors to inspire success on MAP testing. See pictures below. NO SCHOOL FRIDAY (3/30) AND MONDAY (4/2) The Spring Fling is just around the corner. Please make EVERY effort to schedule doctor and dentist appointments AROUND this testing period. 8th Grade Recognition will be on Friday, May 18, at 6:30 pm. Information will be sent home with students closer to the event. In the meantime, please remember this is a celebratory event. We encourage students to dress nicely (business casual) for this event. The 8th grade play this year was Fussin and a Feudin'- a hillbilly, Hatfield/McCoy, Romeo and Juliet spoof full of laughter and great songs. The kids really got into their parts and did a great job! Fussin and a Feudin' was a great success! Way to go 8th grade play participants!
Library/Media Center Update: LEAD blog- As a LEAD school we have access to a wide variety of resources created by the Covey Foundation. Here are some pictures from the event. 7th Grade students have been decorating their wing to pump students up for the MAP Test. Students brainstormed, generated, and voted on various ideas to decorate their classroom doors. This was for the purpose of encouraging one another, creating a positive atmosphere, and to get pumped up for state testing happening in the coming months. Look at the slide show below for their creations. They are AMAZING! 6th Grade and 8th Grade students are decorating doors, too! Those pictures will be out soon!
